I was given lots of tiny skeins of naturally-dyed silk that a weaver had used for dye experiments. Fortunately I can do useful tings with these small amounts using my backstrap loom.
I wove four pieces and still have plenty left over. I used the berry colors together with gold colors as supplementary weft....leaves among the berries.
I used the purple and copper tones with natural white for a piece in doubel weave....leaves on the snow.
The greens and blues were combined with a butter-yellow supplementary wft for another leafy pattern.
I used the Andean Pebble Weave structure to pattern the last piece in browns and golds.
A friend who makes books gave me scrap pieces of patterned paper that he uses on the inside covers of his books and I coverd and papered four notebooks.
